COVID-19 AND WINTER OPERATIONS: OUR WORK ON THE FRONTLINE
24/7 EMERGENCY RESPONSE
Our frontline staff work side-by-side with public health authorities and other organizations to provide life-changing services to over 3,000 homeless Montrealers: safe accommodations, psychosocial support and assistance to find permanent, affordable housing are all part of our emergency response.

AND WARMING CENTRES
In partnership with the City of Montreal, including the STM and SPVM, our shuttle service provides safe rides to warming centres and shelters across the city to make sure no one has to stay out in the cold during the winter months.

Our kitchen is busy serving 1,000 meals a day, including take-out and vegetarian options, to homeless Montrealers like Frank, pictured here eating at our cafeteria adapted to COVID-19 restrictions.

OUTREACH INITIATIVES
Our intervention counsellors venture outside our walls on a daily basis, getting to know people who live on the street—often on the margins of society—to connect them to life-saving services.

About the Old Brewery Mission
Founded in 1889, the Old Brewery Mission had transformed from a soup kitchen to a shelter by the end of the 19th century. Today, the Mission is a diverse network of facilities, programs and services at the forefront of the quest to end chronic homelessness in Montreal. It remains dedicated to providing life-saving services to all those who knock at its door.
