Today, Matthew Pearce, President and CEO of the Old Brewery Mission and Philippe Pichet, Director of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) will announce the initiatives focused on improving relations between police and the homeless community.
Additionally, to underscore Saint-Valentine’s Day, a dozen police officers will serve dinner to over 400 homeless men and women and visit the Saint-Laurent Campus as part of the Old Brewery Mission’s “Supper Experience” program, which aims in part to sensitize people to the realities of homelessness.
