When Homelessness Takes Shape

When I had to leave my home to escape violence.
When I was about to end up on the street after a hospital stay.
When I received an eviction notice.

No one ever thinks they’ll lose their home. Yet, a life can change in the blink of an eye. Thanks to your donation, the Old Brewery Mission can help people find a safe place, support, and a chance to rebuild their lives.

Behind every turning point, there is a person.

Homelessness doesn’t start on the street. It often begins during a time of crisis, distress, or instability. Every day, the Old Brewery Mission supports people trying to find their bearings, a roof over their heads, and a little security.

  • When my addictions cost me my bearings.

    Tracy

For years, she lived with addictions. Then one day, a hospital stay turned her life upside down. Because of her addictions, she lost the use of her legs and the ability to walk.

It was during this hospital stay that she realized she wanted to get better.

With the support of the Old Brewery Mission, she was able to regain stability and begin rebuilding her life.

  • Quand je me suis retrouvée sans endroit où aller.

    France

One morning, this person woke up in the hospital without understanding what had happened. Upon leaving the hospital, she realized she no longer had a place to live.

Struggling with mental health issues and alcoholism, she was going through an extremely difficult time. Thanks to the support of the Old Brewery Mission, she received the help she needed to find a safe environment and gradually get back on her feet.

  • When I didn’t know where to go after the hospital.

    Aya

After experiencing an extremely violent assault in her home, this person was hospitalized and fell into a coma. When she woke up, she no longer had an apartment.

Accompanied by a loved one, she arrived at the Old Brewery Mission, where she found a safe space, human support, and guidance to start living again at her own pace.

When homelessness takes hold, your donation can make a difference.

A donation can provide:

• a safe bed,

• psychosocial support,

• essential resources,

• guidance toward stability.

Every contribution counts in helping someone find a home and take back control of their life.
